Decision Points – DUI
Completion of this class is mandatory for participants of the DUI Court program.
A cognitive behavioral, evidence–based program designed to assist individuals in addressing their thoughts, feelings, attitudes, and beliefs that may lead to poor choices around: drinking and driving and/or driving with a suspended license. Clients are given the opportunity to learn new skills that can help make better decisions.
Referral & Requirements
Clients are referred to this program via court order by a District Court or Superior Court judge, or the Therapeutic Court team.
Proper attendance, participation, and completion of homework assignments is a requirement.
DV–MRT (Moral Reconation Therapy)
An evidence–based cognitive behavioral approach that treats domestic violence (DV), trauma, and relationships. It increases accountability for clients, provides insight into why individuals may have acted violently, and assists in problem solving situations.
Referral & Requirements
Clients are referred to this program via court order by a District Court or Superior Court judge, their Probation Services Case Manager, or the Therapeutic Court team.
The program consists of 24 class modules over a (minimum) 24–week period. The class is “open” meaning that new individuals can join throughout an ongoing group. However, class sizes are limited, and new referrals may be placed on a waiting list. Class occurs once per week.
Proper attendance, participation, and completion of homework assignments is a requirement.
Thinking 4 A Change (T4C)
An evidence–based, cognitive behavioral intervention (CBI) program that is focuses on the simple principle that “Thinking drives actions/behaviors.” Clients are given the opportunity to learn new skills and evaluate the consequences of their actions and behaviors to themselves and others.
Referral & Requirements
Clients are referred to this program via court order by a District Court or Superior Court judge, their Probation Services Case Manager, or the Therapeutic Court team.
The program consists of 25 lessons over a (minimum) 14–week period. The class is “closed” meaning that new individuals cannot join an active group. Referrals received while classes are closed may be placed on a waiting list. Class meets twice per week.
Completion of homework assignments, proper attendance, and participation (including group discussions and activities) is a requirement.
