Probation and Custody Officer Fraudulent Calls

Scammers have been contacting newly released inmates or the families of inmates housed in the Clark County Jail. Most callers are posing as Clark County Custody Officers or from Probation's electronic home monitoring vendor, 2 Watch Monitoring.

Calls tend to include:

  • Jail paperwork has a mistake and they need to pay immediately
  • Payment required up front to have inmate released - from Probation monitoring vendor
  • Caller may identify himself as Brian Daniels (240) 892-5896
  • Caller provides CashApp payment infomation: $servicesrf or $Trenton4x

If you receive a call from individuals using any of the above tactics, do not give any personal information or pay any sum of money. Obtain as much information as you can about the caller and report it to your local police department.

If you have any questions about an inmate's status or release information, please contact Clark County Jail Services directly: https://clark.wa.gov/jail-services/contact
