Public Participation Plans

2025 Comp Plan Outreach PPP Cover

Clark County began the Comprehensive Growth Management Plan update process by adopting a Public Participation Plan (PPP) to clearly identify the scope of the proposed update, when legislative action is expected, and how the public can participate or comment. The PPP was approved by the Clark County Council on March 21, 2023. 

The PPP provides the public with opportunities for early and continuing participation and access to key decision-making processes with the Clark County Planning Commission and Clark County Council and describes the steps Clark County will take to provide opportunities for public engagement. A separate Public Participation Plan was created to guide the public engagement process in the development of the Clark County Climate Change and Resiliency Element for the Comprehensive Growth Management Plan in coordination with the already adopted Comprehensive Growth Management Plan Public Participation Plan.  View the Climate Element Public Participation Plan.

2025 Comp Plan Outreach Scoping Event

The 2025 comprehensive plan update will include many events, project milestones, and meetings before the County Council, Planning Commission, and public. View the 2025 Update Meeting and Event Information page.

The county will prepare an environmental impact statement (EIS) in compliance with the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) as a part of this project. View the 2025 Update EIS page.

Public and Community Group Presentations

As outlined in the PPP, Community Planning organizes public meetings and consults with community partners and interested parties to provide background information on the update, gather input, and give presentations focused on specific topics or on the overall project.
