Commission Representation

As outlined in the ordinance that established the commission, members are appointed by the County Manager and confirmed by the vote of a majority of the members of the Council. The Commission consists of 13 voting members. To ensure a diverse representation of various aspects of farming and the agriculture industry when appointing the members, consideration and preference is given to the following:

  • One member from the Clark Conservation District;
  • One member from the Cowlitz Tribe;
  • One member from the agricultural processing industry;
  • One member representing the consumers of agricultural products;
  • One member who has expertise in agricultural programs; and
  • The remaining eight voting members are to include agricultural producers representing both large-scale and small-scall producers of a variety of agricultural products produced in Clark County.
