Commission on Aging wraps up community engagement focus at November meeting

The Clark County Commission on Aging focused the last part of 2023 on community engagement for people 60 and older. At its November meeting, the commission will reflect on their three-part speaker series that explored ways to support individuals, businesses and community groups understand best practices for engaging with older adults and reviewed their priority community engagement strategies. They will also discuss dissemination of materials to help foster community-wide awareness of available aging resources.

The Commission on Aging meeting will be at 4:30 pm Wednesday, Nov. 15. Meetings are currently held in a hybrid format with both in-person and virtual participation options. The Commission on Aging, supported by the Clark County Council, is a nine-member volunteer group that implements the Aging Readiness Plan and provides leadership addressing needs of aging community members. For more about the commission, please visit www.clark.wa.gov/aging.
