Phase 4 Key Milestones
Phase 4 includes the presentation of the Comprehensive Plan and final preferred growth strategy to the Planning Commission and County Council.

Washington Department of Commerce 60-day review submittal
All documents will be sent to the Department of Commerce for review.
In two packages, the county submitted to the Department of Commerce on 7/24/2026. See the submittal items under the 7/24/2026 entry of the grid on the meetings and events page.
Planning Commission work sessions/hearings
County Council work sessions
This step will include review Planning Commission recommendations and/or some joint meetings with the Planning Commission and County Council may be scheduled.
Final Adoption of Plan
Notice of adoption will be published and the record of the adoption hearing will be submitted to the Department of Commerce.
