Your application packet must include a plot plan that includes all required elements shown on the plot plan checklist.

Required information/elements can be found on the subdivision as-built plan, recorded plat, building plans, and/or Clark County Code Title 40. In some cases, you may need to email or call the Permit Center for assistance.
You can order a copy of the recorded plat from the Clark County Surveyor’s Office.
You can also use Maps Online at gis.clark.wa.gov/mapsonline/index.cfm and these instructions:
- Look up the property by address or parcel number
- Click on Property Information Center
- Look at the abbreviated description for the lot number and subdivision name
- Look under Land Data and click on subdivision name
- Click on View tif or pdf to see the subdivision plat
Common errors
- Setbacks are missing or setback requirements are not met
- Plot plan is not drawn to scale or is incomplete
- Easements are not shown on plot plan
- Plot plan layout does not match building plan layout
- Driveway (access) location is incorrect
- Driveway width and distance from property line are missing
- Corner lot access issue, such as a driveway too close to an intersection
- More than four-foot elevation change is found
- Plan copies are not legible and/or scale is inaccurate
- Garage placement does not match site plan
