Clark County seeks volunteer to serve on Parks Advisory Board

Vancouver, WA – The Board of County Councilors is seeking an applicant to fill an unexpired term on the Parks Advisory Board. The term begins immediately and goes through December 31, 2017.

The seven-member advisory board makes recommendations to the councilors on issues such as:

  • Selection of design consultants, park designs and park locations;
  • Park acquisition, development and improvement;
  • Rules for park use;
  • The county's biennial parks budget; and
  • Specialized studies regarding parks, trails and open space.

The advisory board meets noon–2:30 p.m. on the second Friday of each month. Members also may hold special work sessions if necessary.

Anyone interested should submit a letter and resumé to Jennifer Clark, Councilors Office, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, 98666-5000. Applications also can be faxed to (360) 397-6058 or sent by email to jennifer.clark@clark.wa.gov.

Application deadline is 5 p.m., Friday, June 10.
