Vancouver, Wash. – Regular drivers along the Highway 99 corridor can expect nighttime lane closures and two complete closures of the intersection of Highway 99 and 99th Street beginning Saturday, June 13.

Contractor crews will pave Highway 99 between Northeast 78th Street and Northeast 134th street beginning Saturday night. The contractor will start at Highway 99 and Northeast 99th Street, which will mean two complete closures of the intersection from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. These closures will take place Saturday, June 13, and Sunday, June 14. Travelers are asked to take alternate routes during these closures.

On Saturday, June 13, crews will also close a single lane on Northeast 134th Street approaching Highway 99 to allow crews to perform pavement repairs at the north end of Highway 99. This work also requires a single-lane closure on the off-ramp from southbound Interstate 5 to Northeast 134th Street.

Beginning Monday, June 15, crews will begin work to pave the nearly three-mile stretch of the corridor, requiring mobile single- and double-lane closures from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Paving work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled if necessary.

Once nighttime paving work is complete, drivers can anticipate daytime single-lane closures as crews return to the corridor to complete replacement of center medians, signing and striping operations and remaining traffic signal work. The daytime work is expected to begin in late June or early July.
