Clark County’s Master Composter Recycler program is offering a series of free sustainable green living webinars this fall.

Here are the upcoming workshops:

  • Green Cleaning: 7 to 8:30 pm Wednesday, Nov. 18.
  • Recycling Done Right: 7 to 8:30 pm Wednesday, Nov. 25.
  • Preventing Food Waste in the First Place: 7 to 8:30 pm Wednesday, Dec. 2.

The green cleaning webinar teaches participants how to use environmentally friendly alternatives to common household cleaning products that may contain hazardous chemicals. Participants will be eligible to receive a free green cleaning kit (supplies limited), which includes an all-purpose cleaner, window cleaner and safer scrubber.

The Recycling Done Right webinar will turn participants into experts on what can go into blue recycle carts and what should stay out.

And Preventing Food Waste in the First Place will teach participants how to grow wisely, prolong food storage, and prepare meals using leftovers. Participants will be eligible to receive a free food waste prevention kit (supplies limited).

Pre-registration is required for all workshops and space is limited. To register for workshops, visit the Master Composter Recycler website. Participants will receive a confirmation email after successful registration.

Recordings of previous webinars about backyard composting, red worm composting and lasagna garden composting are also available on the Master Composter Recycler website.

The Master Composter Recycler program educates the community about easy ways to reduce waste, increase recycling and rethink our impact on natural resources. For more information about the program, visit the website, call 564.397.7333 or email mcr@clark.wa.gov.
