Public health is a dynamic, challenging and exciting profession. Clark County Public Health believes that developing future public health leaders is critical for our community. We are committed to providing opportunities for education, training and experience to emerging public health professionals. By partnering with higher education institutions, our staff strives to offer exceptional internships in different public health disciplines. We host unpaid internships as virtual, in-person or a hybrid model for student interns in several public health programs.

Available Internship Opportunities.
MPH Epidemiologist to support a project that involves designing and completing a data analysis of historical food safety inspection violations against various mapped community demographics to see if differences in cited violation frequency or type exist. This work will conclude with the support of a written report summarizing the findings. This project will work with another intern who will be collecting demographic background data of food establishment owners.
Student nurses
Please note that Public Health is unable to host student nurses for internships currently. Clark County Public Health no longer operates a traditional public clinic; only a specialized clinic for harm reduction.
