This 15.13 acre park was developed in 2003. It features two full-size soccer fields and one mini-mod soccer field that are used by the Salmon Creek Soccer Club.
Update - April 2023
The overflow parking lot was completed in 2022. Construction on the “Children’s Celebration Garden Playground” began in 2022. Unexpected issues encountered during construction have delayed completion of the playground. We hope to complete construction and open the playground in spring or summer 2023.
Children’s Celebration Garden Playground and parking lot expansion
Construction of the Children's Celebration Garden Playground and parking lot expansion will occur in two phases. The first phase is the construction of a paved “overflow” parking lot which is anticipated to add an additional 35 parking spaces. The parking lot will be located on a standalone parcel located just to the west of the main entrance into Felida Park off of NW 122nd Street. The parcel was historically used for residential purposes. Once the parcel was acquired by the County, the property was cleared in preparation for the parking lot. The second phase will construct the Children’s Celebration Garden Playground within the Felida Park. The location is to the east of the covered picnic structure within an open area of grass. The playground amenities are anticipated to include a rubberized play surface, benches, rock features, and various playground equipment designed for children of all abilities.
Clark County awarded the construction contract to NW Construction General Contracting of Battle Ground, Wash., which submitted the lowest responsible bid.
Construction is expected to begin on Monday, April 25, 2022, and be completed spring 2023. Construction start and end dates are weather dependent.
Funding
Construction costs for both the overflow parking lot improvements and the Children’s Celebration Garden Playground is estimated at $969,650 and will be funded by Park Impact Fees.
