Heritage Farm Public Access Improvements

In June 2024, Clark County Council approved the "Heritage Farm Sustainability Plan", a strategic plan for improving public access and financial sustainability of the farm. One of the next steps in this plan is developing the first phase of public access improvements. This project will include the siting, design and installation of a restroom and shelter pavilion and publicly accessible trail concept. These improvements will support existing educational uses and future visitors. The project will also develop a concept plan for a trail alignment connecting the Heritage Farm to Hazel Dell Community Park, located on the southwest corner of the property. Trail construction is not included in this first phase of development. These facilities will expand public access and support existing farm uses, helping the community enjoy the farm property and learn more about its rich cultural heritage.

Open House – December 11

Thank you for attending the December 11 open house to learn more about the site. A recording of the meeting has been posted.

At the open house, we presented concepts showing a new shared pavilion building, restrooms, and trail concepts. We aimed to learn how everyone – including current farm users and the general public, would like to experience the site and learn more about what’s going on at the farm.
