NE Hazel Dell Ave Water Quality Retrofit

PROJECT
This summer, Clark County Public Works will construct improvements to the stormwater system along Hazel Dell Avenue from Northeast 83rd Street to Northeast 86th Street.  Improvements include adding stormwater treatment basins and vault to improve water quality in Cougar Creek and downstream

SCHEDULE AND TRAFFIC
Construction is expected to begin Oct. 3 , and be completed winter 2023-2024, start and end dates are weather dependent.

Northeast Hazel Dell Avenue will remain open during construction; however, there will be lane closures and drivers should expect traffic delays. The outer southbound lane and bike lane on Hazel Dell Avenue will be closed for the duration of the project.  Drivers are urged to watch for flaggers and signage directing traffic around the construction area. Access to local businesses will remain open.

FUNDING
Clark and Sons Construction of Battle Ground, Wash., has been selected as the contractor for this project.

Project construction will cost approximately $525,000 and will be funded by the County’s Clean Water Fund and a Department of Ecology Grant.
