Update - Sept. 2024
Work in the roadway will be completed this week. Electrical work will be done at a later time as materials have a long delivery time. Additional work in the roadway may be needed at that time.
Project Details
Safety improvements are coming to Northeast 130th Avenue between Northeast 76th Street and Padden Parkway. Public Works will install improvements including a marked crosswalk with lighting and a flashing beacon at the intersection of Northeast 130th Avenue and the Padden Parkway multi-use trail; upgrading the crosswalk in the school zone at Heritage High School and installing new school zone flashers; rebuilding sidewalk curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements; installing ADA-compliant crosswalk buttons; upgrading bike lane markings; and installing pedestrian, school zone and transit signage.
The project includes design, engineering, surveying, environmental documentation/permitting, storm drainage, right of way acquisition, and construction. All documents, engineering, plans and specifications will be completed in accordance with all applicable federal, state and county standards.
