Bridge 11 (Whipple), Bridge 12 (Knapps), and Bridge 63 (Carson) Strengthening Project

This project will strengthen and rehabilitate three Clark County bridges: bridge No. 11 carrying Northwest 179th Street over Whipple Creek north of Salmon Creek, bridge No. 12 carrying Northwest Krieger Road over Whipple Creek near Green Lake, and bridge No. 63 carrying Northeast 67th Avenue over Mill Creek south of Battle Ground. Bridge supports will be rehabilitated on the bridges, removing the existing load weight restrictions.

Currently, several bridges throughout Clark County have weight restrictions in place. This project will improve the structure of two bridges to enable removing the current weight restrictions.

Improvements at the bridge locations will include strengthening the bridges’ structure. The project is currently in the design phase.

Project timeline

Construction is expected in 2025. As final designs are completed, this page will be updated with more detailed information. Area residents will also receive mailers with project information, timelines, road closure information and more.

Budget

The project is anticipated to cost $1,557,000. A grant from the Federal Highway Bridge Program will pay for most of the cost for this project. County funding will pay for the remaining portion of the costs.
