Body

Construction will begin in July to install safety improvements along Northeast 130th Avenue between Northeast 76th Street and Northeast Padden Parkway. A marked crosswalk with lighting and a flashing beacon will be installed at the intersection of Northeast 130th Avenue and the Padden Parkway multiuse trail. Additional improvements include:

  • Upgrades to the school zone crosswalk at Heritage High School
  • New school zone flashers
  • Rebuilt sidewalk curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements
  • Installation of ADA-compliant crosswalk buttons
  • Upgrades to bike lane markings
  • Improvements to pedestrian, school zone and transit signage

Travelers in the area can expect occasional lane closures, traffic impacts and delays. Access to local businesses will remain open. Construction is weather dependent, and the schedule is subject to change. Schedule updates, detour maps and additional information is available at clark.wa.gov/public-works/northeast-130th-avenue.
