Public Works is redesigning Northeast 179th Street between Northeast 15th Avenue and Northeast 26th Avenue. The intent of the project is to reconstruct the existing roadway to meet current road standards. This will involve modifying the road’s vertical alignment, widening the roadway, and adding a curb, gutters and a separated joint use bike/pedestrian pathway on both sides. The road will initially include one travel lane in each direction and a center left turn lane, and right turn lanes in some locations.
