Update - July 2024
Construction will begin in July to upgrade stormwater catch basins at the intersections of Northeast 78th Street and Northeast 13th and 16th avenues. Upgraded catch basins will more effectively treat stormwater before it enters Cougar Creek, protecting water quality. Construction is weather-dependent and scheduled to be complete by the end of September. Drivers in the area can expect occasional lane closures, delays and traffic impacts. Access to local businesses will remain open.
This project will improve the catch basins around the intersections of Northeast 78th Street with Northeast 13th Avenue and Northeast 16th Avenue. Storm filters will be installed within the existing catch basin to treat stormwater before it enters Cougar Creek.
