Northeast Hazel Dell Avenue and Burnt Bridge Creek Trail Crossing Improvement Project

Clark County and the City of Vancouver are partnering on the Northeast Hazel Dell Avenue and Burnt Bridge Creek Trail Crossing project.

This project will construct a 10-foot-wide multi-use sidewalk along the west side of Northeast Hazel Dell Avenue between the Burnt Bridge Creek Trail and the Discovery Trail. The project will also add an improved marked pedestrian crossing of Northeast Hazel Dell Avenue. The new crossing will include lighting, a flashing beacon, and an ADA-compliant sidewalk and ramps.

This project includes the construction of approximately 0.15 miles (800 linear feet) of 10-foot-wide multi-use sidewalk along the west side of Northeast Hazel Dell Avenue. This new sidewalk will connect the Burnt Bridge Creek Trail trailhead with the Discovery Trail trailhead.

The project will also install a marked crosswalk across Northeast Hazel Dell Avenue. The new crosswalk will include lighting, a flashing beacon, and ADA compliant sidewalk and ramps.

This is a City of Vancouver project in partnership with Clark County. The County’s role is to complete property acquisition, obtain required environmental permits, and provide a review of design documents. The City of Vancouver’s role is to complete the design, complete survey and right of way plans, and administer construction.
