A December 2024 project update mailer announced that the north side of the intersection of Northwest 78th Street and Northwest 9th Avenue would be closed for nine days during construction. This closure is no longer needed. To enable construction, Temporary lane closures on Northwest 78th Street will begin in mid-March. Lane closures will be marked with traffic cones and flaggers, who will direct traffic and pedestrians. Travelers along Northwest 78th Street may experience delays of up to 20 minutes.
Public Works is improving the road surface of Northwest 78th Street. This project will also improve pedestrian access by upgrading crosswalk signals and ADA ramps.
