Northwest 78th Street

Project Update - March 2025

A December 2024 project update mailer announced that the north side of the intersection of Northwest 78th Street and Northwest 9th Avenue would be closed for nine days during construction. Lane closures will be marked with traffic cones and flaggers, who will direct traffic and pedestrians. Travelers along Northwest 78th Street may experience delays of up to 20 minutes.

Northwest 78th Street was identified by Clark County Pavement Preservation in 2021 as in need of road repairs, structural capacity, and restriping. Multiple ramps adjacent to the project do not comply with ADA requirements and will need to be upgraded at the same time to comply with the Department of Justice ADA act. Pedestrian signals will be upgraded along the corridor as well.
