Vancouver, Wash. – With fireworks sales beginning Thursday, June 28, Clark County reminds residents to comply with local and state laws and use fireworks safely and responsibly.

In unincorporated areas north of Northwest/Northeast 219th Street, fireworks can be used from noon to 11 pm June 28, 9 am to 11 pm June 29-July 3 and 9 am to midnight July 4. In unincorporated areas south of Northwest/Northeast of 219th Street, fireworks can be used from 9 am to midnight July 4.

Vancouver, Wash. – The ACEs Action Alliance, in collaboration with Fort Vancouver Regional Libraries, is kicking off a series of community conversations about childhood trauma and resilience with a book discussion.

The book, Becoming Ms. Burton by Susan Burton and Cari Lynn recounts Burton’s childhood, which was impacted by poverty, racism, sexual abuse and emotional neglect. Vancouver, Wash. – Clark County residents and business owners needing to submit permit applications, renewals and payments to Public Health soon will be able to perform those tasks online. Clark County Public Health is rolling out new features on its website that will allow users to meet permit requirements without making a trip to the department office.

Users of the new online system will be able to submit applications, receive application status notifications, make payments, upload required documents, and review account activity.

Vancouver, Wash. – Clark County Public Health is gathering information about an active case of tuberculosis at Skyview High School. The risk of the disease spreading to students, staff and the public is low. Public Health currently has no evidence of additional cases at Skyview High School.

Public Health was notified by a local health care provider on Tuesday, May 1, of a possible tuberculosis (TB) case involving an individual associated with Skyview High School. Vancouver, Wash. – Clark County onsite septic system owners now have an additional financial resource when they need to repair or replace their systems.

Low-interest loans with flexible terms can be acquired through Craft3, a regional non-profit lender.
