The Transportation Planning section of Public Works plans for the future of the transportation network by evaluating potential projects to provide safe and efficient transportation for existing residents, future population and our growing economy. Clark County's comprehensive plan consists of a set of policies and maps meant to accommodate and guide population and employment growth in the unincorporated portion of the county over the next 20 years (2015-2035). Transportation Planning implements the comprehensive plan by projecting multi-modal solutions necessary to effectively serve planned land use throughout unincorporated Clark County.
Transportation Planning partners with Community Planning to help improve Clark County’s long term quality of life through managed growth. This partnership includes an approved Community Planning 2021 Work Plan approved by County Council on Nov. 18, 2020. The transportation portion of the work plan begins on page 5.
